There’s just something about autumn. The nights are cool, but not too cold. The days are warm without being hot. The air is refreshed by the quenching rains that signal the end of summer. The dirt on the trails lays down, smooth and tacky from heavy morning dew. The stone at the climbing crags is cool to the touch and dry as a bone. Everywhere, nature, soon to be muted by the hues of winter, comes out with a show of heart-achingly beautiful color.
In the Snoqualmie Valley, the cool waters of the river and moisture from the forest create swirling clouds of mist and morning fog, giving way to colorful evenings as maples and cottonwoods stand out from their evergreen neighbors and dramatic skies dance above evening sunbeams on Mount Si.

We warmly invite you to enjoy
the shortest-running collection of the year in honor of the most ephemeral season of the year. We hope you’ll leave inspired to harvest your own bit of color.
Sept 23rd - 12 - 8pm
East of the Cascade crest, quaking aspens and western larches vie for supremacy in the contest of the most golden tree, as cerulean skies, washed of summer smoke and haze, create the ideal backdrop for this unending debate.
Across the state, the alpine landscapes take on every manner of color. Crystalline lakes call with promises of ultimate refreshment for those who dare the plunging water temperatures. Alpine meadows become a kaleidoscope of red, gold and green as the last berries of the year sweeten like Riesling grapes after the first frost. Above, the highest peaks are dusted with confectionary sugar which takes on the rich colors of the year’s most brilliant alpenglow.

The Harvest Color collection is comprised of work created in the fleeting days of autumn in the hills and valleys close to home and the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. As you look at the images, imagine the crisp smell of a cold alpine dawn. Feel the way the temperature swings mightily between the sun and the shade. Taste the blueberries picked from red-leaved bushes heavy with dew. Marvel at the way that the golden trees radiate as though illuminated from within. Realize that this is all so perfect, so intricately formulated, and so very temporary. Then find thanks for the beauty of the present moment with all of the little wonders that lie within.
Go now. See it while you can. Work can wait. The harvest won’t.
