I, too, spend a significant amount of time in the American backcountry. I’ve also spent a significant amount of time considering why I do. In the end I’ve come to understand that exploration of our backcountry enables true discovery of who I am. It’s the attempt to accomplish an objective that I am not quite sure I can achieve that pushes me to limits that reveals my pure character, in all of its beauty and imperfections. Scott's work captures the essence of this struggle. A struggle that represents the purpose of life. To discover truth, the truth of who I am and what I am capable of. The world in all of its splendor is divinely designed to facilitate this discovery. When I look upon one of Scott's pieces hanging in my home or office I can’t help but to be both reminded of why I am here and inspired to get back out there to find myself.

Scott’s photography has been a key finishing touch for our home. When we first encountered his work, we were drawn to both the beauty of his compositions and the level of detail in that work. Even when printed quite large, his work holds up well. Scott has a wonderful eye and an adventurous drive that takes him places we would likely never dare to tread. Working with him on the details of how we wanted work printed and framed was an incredibly smooth process made possible by both his warmth as a human being and his professionalism.
