Bringing Art Into Your Home:

The Process Behind a Custom Art Installation

Inviting a piece of art into your home is less about filling a wall and more about creating connection and shaping the space.
Fine art photography can add meaning and impact to your home, not just decoration. With Scott Rinckenberger's dramatic landscapes, no two art installations are the same and the process is intentional, collaborative, and deeply connected to you and your environment.
"My goal is to create a perfect cohesion wherein the specific image has a deep meaning for the client, while the presentation of the artwork merges seamlessly with the design language of the space." says Scott.
We can help start the process of choosing the right piece for you with a conversation and work toward a finished vision together.
The first step is to identify what type of imagery, subject matter or locations speak to you or has meaning for you. What collections or imagery are you drawn to in a large body of work? Is it local; your favorite corner of the Washington Cascades, the bends and falls of the Snoqualmie River, or a stump blanketed in thick, electric green moss off your favorite trail in the Snoqualmie Valley. Or are you attracted to art that is more conceptual and representative; an abstract wind lip, an unfurling fern, the feathery blur of an eternally flowing stream?
Some clients are drawn to stillness and calm; others want contrast, sense of scale, and visual impact. Black-and-white landscape photography, with its depth and tonal range, responds especially well to this kind of intention, while richly recorded colors spark memories of moments when nature is showing her full regalia.Let the space guide the process. We then talk about the space itself: how the room is used, how light moves through it, and what kind of presence you want to create with the imagery to have or impact you want it to make in the space. Custom installations are designed in response to your home. Wall size, ceiling height, natural light, and sight-lines all influence image selection, scale, and presentation—so the print feels cohesive with the architecture and intention of your space.
Created to last. When carefully choosing hand-crafted elements and custom finishes along side inspirational imagery, every decision is made with lighting, impact and longevity in mind, ensuring the installation feels thoughtful today and years from now. Discovery and problem solving within your space is part of the art for Scott and he truly values the entire process.
Each installation is designed specifically for its setting. The installation itself is precise and considered. On installation day, the work is carefully placed to achieve balance, alignment, and visual flow. The goal is to create presence while allowing the imagery to settle naturally into it’s unique spot.

Living with the artwork. A custom installation becomes part of daily life. The landscapes shift subtly with changing light, offering different moments throughout the day. Over time, the work feels like something that simply belongs, quiet, dramatic and is a familiar part of your home and life.
Custom fine art photography is about evoking inspiration and beauty - and creating a connection between the art, nature, space, and home.
So, if you’re considering a custom installation, we invite you to begin with a conversation. Let’s explore the possibilities within your space together. You can start by checking out the collections or stop by the gallery.

Testimonials from recent art installations:

"To discover truth, the truth of who I am and what I am capable of. The world in all of its splendor is divinely designed to facilitate this discovery. When I look upon one of Scott's pieces hanging in my home or office I can’t help but to be both reminded of why I am here and inspired to get back out there to find myself. Thank you for the reminder and inspiration."

-Eric Penz

"Scott has a wonderful eye and an adventurous drive that takes him places we would likely never dare to tread. Working with him on the details of how we wanted work printed and framed was an incredibly smooth process made possible by both his warmth as a human being and his professionalism. We look forward to his future work."
