Mount Rainier Avalanche: 8x10 Open Edition Matted Print

If you look closely at this photo of Mount Rainier, you’ll see why it’s one of my luckiest captures of all time. I had reached the top of the Crystal Mountain gondola just in time to witness this avalanche nearly a mile wide tearing down the Emmons Glacier. Fortunately, this image is the exception and was created in the months before volcano season was fully underway.
