In one of the great juxtapositions of the Snoqualmie mountains, the summit of Chair Peak, which is rope, ice-axe and crampons steep on all sides, relents to a beautifully rolling shoulder of surreal blobs, which are an extra special treat when kissed with the late light of a winter’s day.
